With over 2 decades of experience in the hospitality sector, Mr. Vinay Bhardwaj has a holistic understanding of the operations and revenue generation of the industry. He has been associated with several leading hotel chains in India including Choice Hotels International, Pride Group of Hotels, and Best Western Hotels & Resorts. He has recently joined the Skyview by Empyrean team and is committed to making the best of his experience and opportunity.

Please tell us about your previous experiences.

I started my career in the hospitality industry in 1998 with a stint in operations for 2 years followed by my MBA, which incited me to shift into hospitality sales. The dual experience has allowed me an insight into the functionality of the hospitality industry and makes me consider all the aspects while negotiating a lead. I have had the opportunity to work with Choice Hotels International, Best Western India, Tulip Star Country, and Pride Hotels & Resorts. My keys task has always been in generating revenue and resulting in profit. I believe this is critical for all businesses and the hospitality industry is no different.

How is your typical workday at Skyview by empyrean?

My primary responsibility in Skyview by Empyrean is to formulate sales strategies to ensure we have maximum coverage of key feeder market, presence in digital media, participation in the right travel portals and to determine discounts and other promotional schemes to generate footfall and revenue.

What do you like most about your job?

Destination selling is extremely interesting and exciting. Skyview by Empyrean is located in a wonderful destination and all the visitors to Patnitop and Sanget are our customers. I am excited about the vast opportunity that exists.

How do you envision the future of Skyview by empyrean?

I think going forward the domestic travellers will play a major role in the future of the hospitality sector and subsequently Skyview by Empyrean. I am also of the opinion that urban mobility will be led by vertical mobility or modes of transportation such as a gondola. With the facilities that Skyview by Empyrean has, I am very optimistic of the great future ahead!

When you are not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

I am of the firm belief that it is very imperative for everyone to have a work-life balance. In my free time, I prefer spending time with my family and look forward to travelling. I am fascinated by historic monuments and serene locations amidst the mountains.
